After several years of activity, with hundreds of children and adults benefited by the campaign and with an intelligent work developed in the Montes de Tarifa, the Environmental Education Program “Bosque Vivo” has become one of the initiatives of citizen participation in the most important forest area of the “Campo de Gibraltar”.
In this XVI edition, organized by the City Council of Tarifa, the Facinas Local Authority and in collaboration with the Association of Friends of the Los Alcornocales Natural Park and the Ministry of Environment, most of the emphasis has been placed on working with the social agents of the Natural Park to create the concentration or the germ of a network of environmental volunteers who with their selfless work, commit themselves to collaborate with the conservation and improvement of this Park, our Park, your Park.
This campaign will be on Saturday February 9 at the Tornos Recreational Zone, located at kilometer 4.2 of the local road Facinas-Los Barrios.
The day will begin at 10:00h, with the concentration of the participants in the point indicated above. The Kiosk-Bar will be open to all attendees who want to have a good breakfast, the cost being on behalf of the attendees. At about 11:00h the municipal authorities and representatives will welcome you, then after a short walk through the field we will move to the “tajo” (place of planting) and begin reforestation with native species in a degraded area of the Park. Volunteers will guide the activity at all times and resolve any questions or queries that may arise. Finally, 14:00h, the day will be concluded and the meeting point will be returned, where the City Council of Tarifa and friends of Facinas will reward us with a lunch.
