THE HOUSE OF CULTURE WELCOMES THE NEXT FRIDAY THE PRESENTATION OF THE NOVEL “EL BUJERO”
Carmelo Cañete Rubio has launched to publish a story of suspense set in Tarifa
The author himself points to the Caleta Tarifeña as one of the inspiring spaces in the history of “El Bujero”. The protagonist Juan Martín, a recently retired man who looks at how the tranquility of his existence, is complicated by the discovery of a corpse, appears on the rocky local coasts one day. It is not the only lifeless body that appears strangely in the area, in the plot of “El Bujero” suspense is mixed with the action of a fictional story.
Although resident for years in the Catalan town of Barberá del Vallés, Carmelo Cañete Rubio is a native of Tarifa. His childhood and adolescence memories have weighed in this his first novel edited with his own funds by “Red Circles”. Writing is for him an escape, an instrument for enjoyment and relief.
The book is presented next Friday, May 10, from 20:00, at the House of Culture. The historian and also author of several works, Francisco Terán presents this first literary work of Carmelo Cañete.
