NEW URBAN WALLS FOR THE CREATIVITY OF YOUNG ARTISTS
Until April 30, works can be submitted to the muralist contest “Tarifa: its culture and heritage”
The mural painting continues to win public spaces. Now the walls of the School Residence and the CEIP Guzmán el Bueno are the spaces chosen to welcome the creativity of those who want to participate in the muralist contest “Tarifa: its culture and environment” promoted by the City Council of Tarifa. Attentive graffiti fans more artistic because the presentation of the sketches closes next April 30. The contest that goes by his third edition anticipates four prizes in metallic with amounts that oscillate between the 1,600 and the 400 euros.
The contest is aimed at people over 14 years old. Minor authors will have to present the authorization of the legal guardians and the works can be done individually or collectively.
The idea is to promote the artistic and creative expression in spaces of the urban environment with the work of young lovers of graffiti and mural puncture. A double objective: promotion of authors and revitalization of spaces that will also be done with thematic coordinates.
And, although with an approach and perspectives open to the taste of the author, the contest proposes specific themes for expression. This time it’s about recreating the natural environment of Tarifa: landscapes, fauna, and other elements related to the physical environment.
Also the culture and history, understanding as such monuments, streets, illustrious personages are object of reference.
Those interested in participating must send their sketches in digital format or on paper, to size A.4 by email or directly at the Casa de la Juventud, before April 30th. They will be presented in color. Along with the design identified with a pseudonym, a brief description of the work, proposed title and personal data will be provided in a separate document.
The graffiti will be made on the walls of the CEIP Guzmán el Bueno and the School Residence. The inscription and presentation of sketches can be done either in person at the Youth House, located on Paseo del Miramar, or by sending an email to the address [email protected]
