UNTIL FREBRERO 9, papers can be submitted to the I Graffiti Contest on gender violence, organized by IES Baelo Claudia. Under the motto of “I don’t want to be brave, I want to be free”, we appeal to the creativity of fans of mural painting who want to join this new event, endowed with a first prize in cash of 300 euros.
According to the bases, the contest tries to sensitize the educational community and the population in general about the problem of abuse and inequality. At the same time as his seeks to stimulate urban art as an artistic expression on the walls of an educational center that already has references of this type.
Until the beginning of February the sketches will be presented, identified by a pseudonym and accompanied by a brief description of the work and the title proposed in a Word or PDF file. In addition, each work will be accompanied by the personal data of the author: names and surnames, telephone, contact email and date of birth. The works will be sent to the email of Baelo: firstname.lastname@example.org
The contest will consist of two phases. In a first selection made before February 15, the three finalist works will be chosen that will be reflected on the walls of the educational center. The final phase will include precisely the completion of the works by the three finalists of the contest. The jury will also choose among them the first prize that will receive 300 euros. The second and third prizes will receive a gift. The educational center assumes the expenses related to the painting necessary to capture the winning works of the contest.
The Institute of Secondary Education “Baelo Claudia” aims to make gender violence a visual and artistic claim to reinforce rejection, from classrooms, educational community and early ages to this social scourge.
