Starting from the town and bordering the West coast (the East coast is rocky) we find ourselves in a Mediterranean beach that is typically urban, on the small side, family oriented and less frequented by tourists who are more fond of open spaces. This is “Playa Chica”. It runs for 800 metres and its average width is of 30 metres. It is one of the most popular beaches in town. It is located next to Las Palomas island and next to the port of Tarifa on the other side.
During the summer a water park is usually set up next to the Island, in Mediterrenean waters. The park is targeted to the children and has inflatable slides.
Regarding the services available at Playa Chica as from June 1st, you may find public restrooms, waste bins, a newsstand, first aid stand, safety signs and cleaning crews. No pets are allowed on site, nor the practice of water sports.
