This beach runs next to Los Lances Sur and has an average width of 120 metres. It is more unspoiled and it is far from residential areas and towns. The river Jara serves as a natural frontier to both areas of the Los Lances beach. This beach is a favorite of kitesurf and water sports enthusiasts because it offers specialty facilities.

Its ecological worth resides in the fact that in non-favourable windy days large flocks of many species of birds that await for more favourable wind conditions to set flight across the Strait of Gibraltar.

It is a 558-acre open beach from where you see the Strait of Gibraltar and the African coast on one side and, on the other side, the seaside mountain range of Tarifa. The Salado Stream and the Jara and Vega rivers all flow into the sea from this protected area.
