Tarifa boasts nearly 38 kms of beaches, for the most part not very deep and with sandy shores, and amongst which Los Lances stands out for having been declared a Natural Setting and comprising beaches as well as dunes, pine forests and marshland.
The beaches of Tarifa are one of the best features of a town with many lovely sites to offer. Whereas Playa Chica is still in the Mediterranean Sea, Los Lances, Valdevaqueros and Bolonia are located in the Atlantic ocean, but they all benefit from long stretches of golden sandy shores, crystalline waters and exceptional natural conditions facilitating the practice of water sports.
Tarifa, the most southern town in Europe, is a crossroads of sea and culture and proudly boasts its 40 shoreline kilometres. It is a magical place that looks over to Africa and where the traveller may enjoy truly virgin beaches.
