Atlanterra is next to the beach of Zahara de los Atunes and it takes its name from a residential area of family homes located in Plata Cape. The b each is fully serviced and has golden sand of a fine grain. It qualifies as a National Tourism Interest Spot and it runs for 5 kilometres with an average width of 60 metres. It has a semi-urban character, its waves are moderate and you can get there by car or by bus.

Services as from June 1st include public restrooms, waste bins, newsstand, beach hammocks, camping area, disabled access, beach bars, police surveillance, first aid stand, safety signs and cleaning crew. Pets are not allowed on the beach nor is the practice of water sports.
